Taste of Tahoe was a fantastic dining experience! We tried the Chicken Paprikash and Beef Stroganoff, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The portions were huge, and the flavors were rich and comforting. We chose spätzle instead of noodles, and it was the perfect accompaniment--tender, buttery, and perfectly made. My wife, who grew up in Germany and has family from Slovakia, was especially impressed. She said these were the best German and Slovakian dishes she's had since moving to the United States--a huge compliment coming from someone who knows these cuisines so well. If you're looking for authentic European dishes that are hearty, flavorful, and expertly prepared, Taste of Tahoe is a must-visit. We can't wait to go back!

This review is long over due. The food was amazing!! Went with my nieces and nephews. We tried 5 different entrees and every one was so delicious. Even goulash that I was sure I wouldn't like! Our servers was so sweet and made us feel like we were at someone's home. Coming back soon as it was such a great experience!! We loved the salad bar!

The food was excellent and service was extremely friendly. My kids loved their meals too. One got spaghetti and meatball, and the other got the chicken tenders. Everything felt homemade - the definition of comfort food. I will definitely go back.

Chef Richard's food is always THE BEST. Way better and less expensive than the Hummel House on the hill. The portions are huge. The service is excellent, with Lenka waiting on us. This restaurant used to be called a taste of Tahoe. We have been visiting this restaurant for over 5 years, since they were in Placerville California. We had the Beef Stroganoff and Jaggerschnitzel. Both excellent. Dessert was delicious and at reasonable price. Don't miss out visiting here, you'll return for sure.

Amazing food. My family and I were visiting Tahoe and were impressed enough to come back twice. I had the weekly special goulash, which was generous enough that I used half of it for dinner the next day. The second time I opted for the soup and salad bar (loved the cabbage soup) and saved room for dessert. We tried both the apple strudel and the plum cake, and while we argued over which we liked better, we agreed that they were both very good. I also tried bites of my companions' dishes, and theirs were just as good. Special mention for the jagerschnitzel and the mushroom sauce being extraordinary.

Hubby and I had a Father's Day weekend trip to South Lake Tahoe and we found a great place!! Taste of Tahoe (formerly Taste of Europe) was a fortuitous discovery. We had a delicious dinner of Jagerschnitzel with mushroom gravy, spaghetti and meatball, and the Apple strudel. The Jagerschnitzel (breaded chicken called schnitzel) was so very amazing because of the combination of the schnitzel and mushroom gravy. WOW! That was the best mushroom gravy ever! It's served with sides of spaetzle and red cabbage. The whole plate was absolutely all about tremendous flavors. My spaghetti was also tasty with a nice marinara sauce and homemade meatball. The decor of the front bar and main dining room is cozy, quaint, comfy and international feeling. We met one of the co-owners during our dinner, who was also our top-notch server. Jayme is a gracious and funny host who is very passionate about the restaurant, the good offerings and future plans to make the restaurant even more special. It's still kind of new, opening August of last year and it has a wonderful future ahead once it's fully discovered by locals and visitors. The menu offers many delectable choices. Can't wait to try more of them next time. We highly recommend Taste of Tahoe! Kudos to the other Yelp reviewers and reviews that brought us here! We'll be back!

Taste of Europe has relocated and rebranded as Taste of Tahoe, and my wife and I stopped by for dinner. We both opted for the Jägerschnitzel Pork, accompanied by Red Cabbage and Spätzle. For dessert, we indulged in the Apple Strudel. The Jägerschnitzel had as generous portion size and was perfectly cooked pork, avoiding any dryness. The Red Cabbage was a standout, with its phenomenal flavor--I could easily devour a gallon of it! The Spätzle was delicious, especially with the added bits of bacon (because, let's face it, bacon makes everything better). My only regret was not requesting a little extra mushroom gravy, as there wasn't quite enough to fully complement the Jägerschnitzel. We took home leftovers and had a fantastic lunch the next day. While my wife thoroughly enjoyed the apple strudel, it didn't quite hit the mark for me, purely a matter of personal preference. I would have probably preferred either of the other dessert options, such as the Cheesecake or Lava Cake. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Taste of Tahoe to others. We look forward to returning in the future. Cheers to good food and enjoyable dining experiences!

My family and I visited this establishment for dinner this evening. The food was a crowd favorite. My girls enjoyed the spaghetti and the schnitzel. It was their first time having schnitzel and they both enjoyed it. The breading on the schnitzel was nice, light and crispy. The pork schnitzel was also very good. I think I should have ordered some mushroom gravy on the side to complement the schnitzel. The potato salad was also very delicious. The apple strudel with the ice cream was a nice way to end our meal. The strudel was not too sweet or overly spiced. The lady helping us out this evening was so nice and helpful. Hats off to her! Thank you for your kind hospitality.
